Last month, I participated in a bazaar called The Caravan in Rockwell, Makati. I sold some of my illustrations in the form of prints, postcards and bookmarks.
It was a good experience meeting new people and having the opportunity to expose my art. I learned that it’s not enough to just know how to design or illustrate, you need to learn how to market your works, too. The awkward turtle in me struggled a little bit while socializing (lol) but it felt heartwarming when people would come up to my booth and tell me they love my works.
PS: I’m open for commissions. Please e-mail me at email@example.com if you’re interested. #shamelessplug
Hello there! I haven’t been updating this blog as much as I would want to so here’s a collection of sketches I did since the start of the year.
Here are some of the sketches I did at the office while Pinterest-ing. Pinterest is a really good website for inspirations or pegs. Too many beautiful things over at that site. <3
The first sketch on my brand new Fashionary (finally gave in and got myself one).
Practicing with colored pencils again. It’s been around two years since I last used one. I wasn’t satisfied with this one so I never finished it. :P
Here’s a little something I made after attending a brush calligraphy workshop two weeks ago. I learned a lot about how pressure and control of the brush makes so much interesting strokes. Clearly, I need more practice with my brushwork! :D
Portrait commissions for Abbey Paner! :) These took forever to finish because Abbey was nice enough not to give me a definite deadline. Thanks (and sorry for taking my sweet time with these lol), Abbey! <3
